Laser Sintering: Leading Technology

What do you know of that can create parts and robust physical prototypes fast? A technology known as laser sintering will accomplish both. It is a way to build prototypes and direct manufacturing components using powdered thermoplastics. The machine utilizes CAD data and software to slice the design into numerous cross sections. The sintering machine utilizes its laser to cure one layer at a time. Powder is added layer after layer until the last sintered layer has been completed. This is a type of technology used in rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing.. There are different types of powders that can be used such as:

  • strong composites
  • nylon polymers

Known for their durability and ability to withstand the test of time, these materials are perfect when used for the laser sintering process. There are different systems used, but we only employ state-of-the art machines here at Synergeering Group. If you need a prototype fast made by experts with the only dual laser technology of its kind world wide, we are the company for you. With us, you will receive the highest quality components with accurate form and functionality.

3-D Object: Photopolymer Resin

Various technologies are in use today to produce products and prototypes. One of the main technologies that is used to create a product in a process that goes straight from a computer assisted design format (CAD) to a final product is the curing of a photopolymer resin. A thick liquid is contained in the rapid prototype machine and then the components CAD cross sections are exposed to a light source to cure the photopolymer resin and form the three-dimensional object. This process has been refined to its present level of superiority.
